Climate Change Workshop for 2nd Year Students
Our second year students fortunate enough to take part in a workshop on climate change in May 2015. They had a great time...brainstorming possible solutions to global problems.
Heres a little bit about it.............
‘Creating the Climate for Change’ is a hands-on workshop for second Year students, which will introduce students to the current climate science and issue of climate change in an age appropriate, relevant, interactive and positive way.
The workshops will equip students with the knowledge and skills that will help them and the wider community respond effectively to climate change, while ensuring that the information is delivered in a fun, positive, and productive manner. The workshop will incorporate a variety of fun, interactive and thought-provoking activities and enhance the personal development of students in areas such as critical thinking, communication, leadership and presentation skills. During the workshop, students will learn about the up-to-date science of climate change, explore the issue of climate change in the media, and will discuss practical, relevant examples of how students can take positive action towards tackling climate change.
